Things to do in Algarve - September

It pains me to say it, but its true, summer is over. This summer in the Algarve, we had the Bike Rally, Med Festival, Jazz Festivals, Wine Festival, Art Festivals, Sand Festival, Sardine Festivals, Seafood Festivals, Reggae Festivals, Sweet Festival, Book Festival, Photo Festivals, Surf Festival, Medieval Festivals and many many more, actually more than humanly possible to see all in one summer, even if you live here. I think its fair to say, summer was wonderfully exhausting, so you’d think it was time for a rest?  Not just yet, the calendar for September isn’t letting up, the rapid speed of events will continue.

Those of us who love summer can still squeeze out a few more relaxing trips to the beach, and those looking or things to see and do, can enjoy lots of sailing activities, music, theater, and of course take in the many art events that are happening all month long.

This summers calendar was so packed, I hardly had time to write, and now that I think of it, sleep, and managing all of the photos has proven chaotic, but not complaining, there’s still lots to see and do.  So, if your looking for something to do in Algarve in September,  you will have plenty to choose from. If your planning a holiday to the Algarve, consider getting a few good nights sleep ‘before’ your trip.

    Dear Moses & Eddie,

All that is good comes to an end. But that is what makes life challenging and exciting. Summer is over lets enjoy winter!
I was really looking forward to meet you at the EWBC2008 but you didn’t manage to make it.
To bad, maybe we manage it on the 2nd edition of the EWBC.
    Cheers,
    José Eduardo

José good to hear from you. Same here, would have been a fantastic opportunity, but unfortunately something came up for us and the timing wasn’t right. Hopefully we’ll be able to take advantage next time or better yet, we might need to make trip to your vineyard : )

Summer is over but optimistic for good fall season first.

It’s great to see someone else taking the initiative to promote some of the different events on the Algarve. There are so few personal sites and blogs for the Algarve, it’s a shame!

Thanks for the comment and at the same time, it’s good to see new tourism activities being setup here in the Algarve such as your Algarve Walking Holidays. We’ll have to check out sometime soon.

    Dear Moses & Eddie,

You are certainly most correct in this Summer having been extremely exciting with so many wonderful events going on in the Algarve. It certainly seems like year on year we get more and more things happening and the quality of each event just keeps on improving.

I dont know about you but i am particularly excited about the up-coming sporting events, in particular the fantastic Portugal Masters Golf Event on the 16th of October at the Victoria Golf Club. The course is always in imaculate condition and this promises to be one of the best tournaments on the european tour calendar.

You may be intereseted to know, but we actually have an events calendar on our website, http://www.thealgarveinfo.com/algarve-Events.cfm.

I hope you like it and would love to receive your feedback.
