Veneza Restaurant – Padene
If you love wine this is the place for you! This restaurant is very much off the beaten path, but wine lovers will feel right at home, surrounded by at least 1000 bottles of Portuguese Vinho! The food is traditional Algarvian - so you can expect cataplana, wild game, seafood, and plenty of other truly cultural cuisine.

Amadeus Restaurant in Almancil
Awarded a star by the Michelin Restaurant Guide, Amadeus Restaurant is one of Portugal’s top restaurants. Although we haven’t ate there (*yet*), we’ve heard nothing but good praise about this fine dinning establishment.

Ermitage Algarve Restaurant - Amancil
Ermitage restaurant offers a taste of fine dining here in the Algarve. According to the “Frommer’s” review: Ermitage occupies an 18th-century stone quinta (farmhouse) that’s surrounded by gardens and flowering vines. In the cozy dining room, fireplaces add warmth in winter; a terrace is very popular during warm weather. This restaurant is on our top must visit in December.

ISO33 Wine Bar - Portimao
ISO33 is one of the few wine bars in the region tucked away on a romantic side street in the historic city of Portimao. Converted from an old home and refurbished to blend traditional with modern, ISO33’s main focus is on serving a wide selection of wines and ports by the glass. ISO33 got its name from its founder who’s a photo buff and journalist, and uses the space to display both local art and photography.
