There’s nothing quite like a bottle of chilled Rosé to welcome summer, actually think we’re still officially in spring but with such gorgeous weather lately who’s going to argue the point?
We originally bought three bottles of different Rosé’s for a summer tasting, but one can hardly justify a craving for a chilled glass of Rosé with three bottles. So we decided to take a peak, if you will and opened just one - Fonte de Nico 2006. Guess now we’ll have to find a replacement for the missing bottle, but in the meantime couldn’t help but share this pretty and delicious wine.
Fonte de Nico 2006
Type: Rosé Wine
Region: Terras Do Sado
Cost: under €5
- Taste: The labeling on the bottle made me feel like maybe it had some nutty notes, but assumptions proved wrong. Instead we found a light and blushing, fruity wine with round berry notes and a wonderful creaminess
- Goes well with: perfect partner for light Mediterranean lunch of crusty buttered bread and cracked crab. Super chilled this is a great wine to melt away weekend afternoons with seafood and friends
Summer can’t come fast enough! Saude.
