Nikki Beach Lounge, in Vilamoura is nestled behind the restaurant and provides a great way to spend lazy afternoons. The set up is nicely done although a bit tight in some areas, but lots of couch and bed areas to choose from.

We got a few unexpected surprises the afternoon we went, it was sweltering hot; umbrellas had run out and drinks were hard to come by. We risked it and got a couple of chairs, ordered some drinks and a bottle of water….the drinks were nice and icy but when the water finally arrived, it was served at ambient temperature…sans ice. Since we had drinks with ice we made due and just enjoyed the afternoon. The suprise came when the bill arrived, the drinks were a bit pricey but a single bottle of 1.5lts of water came to 12€….this was the same bottle that was served up warm without ice. But the most painful part was yet to come. After leaving the lounge and having some gelado on the marina, we made a quick stop for water at the nearby Ali Super got 2- 1.5lt bottles of (chilled) Luso; the total came to .98¢ ….ouuuch! I didn’t get a good look at the bottle label from Nikki Beach, but hope it was something really special, it may have been worth it, but hard to tell since it was served at 40C.

Don’t get me wrong I’m loving Nikki Beach but would love them more if they brought some consistency and sanity to their bar.

But damn, the beds are sooo comfy.

Oh I want to be here! I have never seen these kinds of accomodations on a beach. I would never make it in to work if I had this in my neighborhood! Beautiful.

I feel incredibly lucky to live here. I’ve been plotting a way to work from those beach beds, just need a solution to keep the sand off my laptop!

I av just visited this beach. I arrived at Gatwick airport on monday morning feeling tired yet eager to get on the plane. After waiting for 2 hours in the airport lounge we finally boarded our plane, the journey was quick and easy. When arriving at Faro airport we left the plane and boarded a wee bus which took us directly to the airport. We waited for around 20 mins to be checked in, then we went to collect our luggage. After collecting out luggage we walked through and out into the hot local area. I turned my phone on and we began to look for our coach that would be taking us to our hotel. We then found the coach, loaded out cases and bags onto it and headed for the hotel. On arrival, the staff were friendly and happy to help. We checked in quickly and easily and the staff were helpful. We then went to our room, as soon as i got into my room i put my cases down and headed for the pool. On arrival at the pool i found that most of the best sunbeds had been taken as it was rather late in the day. I then asked the reception staff if there was a local beach as i was unhappy to sunbath with my back to the sun around the pool. The staff at reception told us that there was a local beach and that it was possible to walk there from the hotel. The time taken to walk to the beach was estimated at 5 mins. We walked there but found that there was too many people. We then walked into the local town and asked a local person if there were any quiet beaches around. He recommended Nikki beach. We then got a taxi to Nikki beach where everybody was friendly and welcoming. The service was great. It was not too busy and the beds WAS SOOO comfy I fell to sleep. All in all we had an amazing trip. It was expensive but i can afford it as i have a good job. Am going again

They have those prices because there are idiots who pay for it. I’m Portuguese and I live in London, I go to exclusive places in London and they don’t ask me for 12€ (or pounds) for a bottle of water. What they’re doing in Vilamoura is just plain stupid and more stupid are those who actually pay.
