Loulé Noite Branca

Loulé was awash with a sea of white on its first Noite Branca (White Night) on Saturday Sept. 1. Main Street was closed to traffic and turned into a white playground for artists and guests.
Capoeira artists, pyrotechnics, piano & jazz musicians and many more were featured center city, to delight and entertain. Big comfy couches were also made available for those needing to take a load off and just enjoy the sites.

Graffiti artist came out from their clandestine work and sprayed for all to witness while dames in white dresses paraded the streets balancing Marie Antoinette hair dos. An alcove turned nightclub packed partiers and kept the groove alive in a sea of blue light and cool caipirinhas. And for those wanting quieter options, shops were open until 2am and provided discounts to those wearing the spirit of the night. A well received and organized first attempt and a beautiful farewell to summer.
Loulé we hope to see another “Noite Branca” next year!
