Fatacil Lagoa Algarve Fair

This was my first visit to Fatacil. I have been to many local fairs and was expecting something similar to what I had seen before. I was pleasantly surprised; Fatacil is in a class of its own. It showcases products from all over the country such as hand crafted wooden spoons, glass blowing, wicker chairs, beautiful leather goods for riding and foot wear, pure wool products, arraiolos, traditional pastries, wine, Portuguese ceramics & Azulejos, products for the home, animals, and even handcrafted body armor! With over 800 vendors there’s a lot to cover, I recommend taking an appetite for things that are original and a little room in the belly for something good to nibble.

We had a long wait from some roasted chicken but it was amazing, we were however a little more careful with the sweets this time, but couldn’t pass up the chocolate and fruit skewers….one word….yum!

Fatacil is well organized and very much worth a visit, there is plenty to see, do and eat don’t miss this - well worth the €4.00 entrance fee.

      Dear All,
I am from London but i’ve got a house in Albufeira,
a few years ago (1995/1996) i went to Fatacil and i meet the best singer ever for me…Since then i’ve been following her career and year after year she is becoming better and better, her name is Dulce Pontes.
I would love to see her again in Fatacil this year if possible, that would give to your venue a touch of class and culture.
Dulce pontes is on the top 20 of world Music, she sings for the great Ennio Morricone, was now invited by the Russian President to sing next year, Dulce voice is bigger then live…Portugal should be proud of this singer!!! is a suggestion…kind regards,
      Gavin

Hi Gavin, thanks for your comment. We’re also huge fans of Dulce Pontes. Although we have no affiliation with the Fatacil Fair, we’ll try our best to get your suggestion out to them. Would be exciting to hear her perform live.

Here’s a glimpse of her performance with Andrea Bocelli. You can view the video <a href=”http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OwfbTVzN-fc” rel=”nofollow”>here.
