The Algarve never rests. Thanks to the efforts of our tourism sector, October looks to be another eventful month across the region from theater to food and everything between.

Algarve Guide October

This week’s highlight: calling All Foodies – Almancil Gastronomic Fortnight.

The city of Almancil, which boasts the most restaurants per capita in all of Algarve, will be hosting their 7th Annul Gastronomic event. The event runs from October 1st to the 15th of October, where participating restaurants host different themed dishes each night.

Each one is participating with a menu consisting of a starter, a main course of fish or shellfish, another of meat, and a dessert. Some dishes are familiar ones, but others are new, created especially for this event.
