We’ve been itching to put together a list of things to do in the Algarve for sometime. But it’s a challenge to organize a list that appeals to everyone’s taste. Given all there is to do and see across the Algarve, from beaches, historic sites, golf, shopping, etc., it just makes putting a list together that much more difficult.
So we’re starting small with a short list of 8, we think covers some good options to have fun, relax and see some of what the Algarve has to offer.
1 - Horse Back Riding
2 - Historical Tour
A day tour of Algarve’s historical cities: Silves, Monchique, Lagos, Sagres
3 - Zoomarine Algarve
Location: Albufeira
4 - Lunch in Seafood Town
Over 15 seafood restaurants in Olhão to choose from. We enjoy A’Horta and Ria Formosa both have good traditional, fish and seafood options.
Location: Olhão
5 - Visit Praia do Rocha
Eat at one of the restaurants facing the beach, relax across 10km of sandy surface, and enjoy the view of the massive “Rochas” sandstone cliffs that jewel this famous beach.
Location: in Portimao
6 -Wine Tour and Tasting
Location: In Guia at Cliff Richards’ Winery
7 - Ocean Safari
Location: Marina da Portima in Praia da Rocha and Alvor
8 - Nikki Beach
Location: one in Vilamoura and another in Portimao
During the next few months, we’ll compile more things to see and do. And if you have any suggestions, please share; feel free to write in Portuguese too!
